Hospice & Palliative Medicine — Nunavut
Hospice and palliative medicine Nunavut expert witnesses in internal medicine provide opinions on the treatment and care of those receiving end-of-life care (EOL) as diagnosed with a terminal illness, as well as those in palliative care who are at any stage of serious illness and who may be receiving curative treatments. These internal medicine experts may opine on the duty of care, wrongful death, alleged abuse, safeguarding and neglect matters, including issues of physical, metal, sexual and/or financial abuse.
These palliative medicine and hospice Nunavut expert witnesses may provide opinions related to claims of failure to respond to the needs of those in their care, including control of symptoms, inadequate communication, inadequate care planning and delays in the diagnosis and referrals for treatment.
