Placental Pathology Missouri expert witnesses provide opinions on microscopic examinations of tissue samples taken from the maternal and fetal sides of the placenta in matters of birth defect, birth injury, cerebral palsy, death of the fetus and related issues. These Placental Pathologists may provide evaluations of placental abnormalities and their potential link to infections, hypoxia, asphyxia or other conditions that may injure the fetus, as well as chronic fetal insults and their differentiation from acute (peripartum) stresses.
