Surgical oncology California expert witnesses provide opinions, expert reports and testimony on preventative surgeries, diagnosis and surgical treatment of tumours and cancers, including breast, colorectal, melanoma, upper GI, hepatopancreatobiliary, thoracic, urological cancers (eg: bladder) and neurologic cancers (eg: brain and spine).

These cancer surgeons may opine on issues of wrong-site surgery (operating on the wrong part of the body, wrong organ), incomplete removal of cancerous tissue, infections, nerve injuries, organ damage, failure to diagnose (especially failure to diagnose unrelated carcinomas), vascular complications, failure to obtain informed consent, and related issues.

These surgical oncologists may also testify in matters of alleged malpractice related to the management of treatment and medication management, including issues of postoperative and long-term follow-up care, including delayed or missed treatments, incorrect dosages (eg: administering too much or too little chemotherapy), failure to recognize potential drug interactions and other treatment complications.
