Voice Identification
Voice identification expert witnesses, profiled in this directory, may provide forensic analysis of audio recordings for the identification of unknown speakers, as well as speech recognition (recognizing what is being said). These voice experts may provide written opinions in challenges to aural and spectrographic comparisons of voices, including challenges to obscuring events and non-ideal recording conditions (noise, music, other speakers, reverberation, degraded channels, compressed audio) and challenges to exemplar recordings (voice samples) due to unequal recording equipment (eg: telephone, cellphone, digital voice mail recorder, digital dictaphones) and speaker's physical condition (emotion, intoxication, illness).
