Labor Economics

Labor Economics expert witnesses provide opinions on alleged lost earnings (estimates of past and potential future lost estimates of individuals in matters such as personal injury, death or wrongful employment actions), as well as alleged violations of state wage and hour laws, off-the-clock work allegations, misclassification of exempt status, missed meals, missed rest periods, miscalculation of the regular rates of pay, and other state labor laws, as well as federal labor laws (eg: the Fair Labor Standards Act [FLSA]).
The labor economists profiled in this directory may provide forensic investigations and written reports on economic damages in employment disputes, measurements of discrimination and disparities in labor markets, and employment audits. These experts may also testify on statistical and economic analysis of employment decisions and provide estimates of the potential economic impact of alleged violations, including those related to employment practices (eg: compensation, promotion, termination, hiring or performance assessment) and allegations of discrimination due to applicants’ or employees’ protected status (eg: gender, race, ethnicity, age).
