Barry T. Hirsch, PhD — Forensic Psychologist

I am a Forensic Psychologist. I have been in private practice for the last 47 years. I do approximate 75  cases a year involving some aspect of physical and/or sexual violence and consult on them to various attorneys and firms. I specialize in doing Risk Assessments of physical and/or sexual violence. I am one of the few Child Custody Evaluators who is trained and experienced to do assessments of physical and sexual violence in a child custody case or as a reviewer of a child custody evaluator's report.  I am highly qualified to do Sexually Violent Predator Cases (SVP). I also evaluate in regard to child pornography issues. I have done 400 murder cases involving issues of Not Guilty By Reason of Insanity. I also do very complex competency and retrospective competency. I am a member of the Los Angeles' Superior Court Panels for Adult Criminal, Juvenile Delinquency, Dependency, and Mental Health.
