Charles (Chuck) Curley is a dual discipline engineer who is cross-trained in both mechanical and electrical engineering, holding a Masters in Electrical Engineering from Cornell and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Syracuse. He has thirty-plus years of “hands-on” experience in the development of both industrial and consumer products.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Curley was honored twice for “Outstanding Scientific and Technical Achievement” and has been chosen to lead multidisciplinary teams in strategic overseas manufacturing startups in Singapore and Taiwan. He holds 29 U.S. Patents in the fields of printing technology, facsimile, card shuffling machines, electronic massage devices, keyboards and computer peripherals. His post-grad research in inkjet printhead design was published by the Royal Academy of Sciences.
Mr. Curley is founder of a consulting firm specializing in electro-mechanical engineering design services, and he has worked with over 50 clients. His work comprises product conceptualization, instrumentation, product cost reduction, motor control, microcontroller firmware and precision machine design. He is highly skilled in CAD solid modeling and his laboratory includes high-end 3D printing capability. He is an active inventor having been granted 9 utility patents within the last year.
Mr. Curley has testified extensively as an expert witness regarding electromechanical products in 40+ patent infringement and product liability actions, and has represented such companies as NCR, Coca Cola, Hewlett Packard, Brother International, Canon, Avery Dennison, JCM America, MARS Electronics, Kodak, Ricoh, Royal Vendors, Bixolon, ShuffleTech and Sanford/Dymo. Curley was recently named an “Elite Expert” by IMS Expert Services.
