Since 1986 I have either worked on or supervised thousands of forensic accounting investigations, litigation services including expert witness testimony, fraud examination, and audit/accounting assignments.
I have been retained on many high profile fraud examinations both locally and internationally involving fraudulent financial reporting, corruption payment schemes; embezzlement schemes and numerous other vendor/employee frauds. These retentions have been by many major U.S.and International Corporations, as well as, legal counsel representing them.
As a Forensic Accountant I have been retained in hundreds of litigation matters by law firms to provide expert witness testimony involving fraud; CPA malpractice; economic damages; white collar criminal defense involving several high profile individuals; business shareholders, LLC members, partner disputes; real estate (development, management, and construction); Casino and Gaming matters; M&A due diligence; asset tracing and other financial matters.
I have also been retained by many governmental law enforcement, regulatory and other agencies to provide financial investigative, forensic accounting, due diligence, and specialized audit services. I have served as an instructor at FLETC and for the U.S. Postal Inspection Service; Illinois State Police Academy; Michigan Attorney General's Office — CID, as well as numerous Federal Agencies' Offices of the Inspector General.
I am a faculty member of University of Nevada, Reno Gaming Management Program; and have been a frequent lecturer for the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and Institute of Internal Auditors. I am and have been a lecturer at IIT Kent College of Law, University of Illinois Chicago, University of Notre Dame, DePaul University, and University of Texas. I work from my Firm's offices in Chicago and Las Vegas.
