LINNDA DURRE', Ph.D. — EXPERT WITNESS, CASE CONSULTATION, AND JURY SELECTION
I have been an expert witness, jury consultant & case consultation, for 49 years, beginning when I earned my M.A. degree. I have been qualified as an expert witness in twelve (12) states — NY, WA, FL, AZ, AL, AR, TN, GA, CA, OH, IA, CT. I have earned my Certification as a Forensic Mental Health Evaluator (CFMHE #000234) from the National Board of Forensic Evaluators (NBFE) www.nbfe.net and I have my National Certified Counselor designation from NBCC — the National Board of Certified Counselors (#17539).
My four specialty areas are family law, personal injury law, employment law, and criminal law.
I have contributed to cases that have won awards from $500,000 to many, many millions of dollars. I have given depositions and/or made court appearances and testified on Zoom or other virtual programs or in person, and/or my reports have been submitted.
I've worked with attorneys on jury selection and case consultation.
I've been licensed psychotherapist (FL #MH6058) in private practice for 46 years, seeing families, children, teens, adults, seniors, and couples.
I have done CMEs, CPEs, parenting plans, social investigations, and I have been a parent coordinator for the courts and attorneys, and working with children, teens, and families as well. Some of those were appointed by Judges.
I live and work in Winter Park, Florida and have for years.

I have worked with attorney Mel Wright at FJA — the Florida Justice Association — in a Mock Trial. I've worked with his partner Ron Gilbert on several Personal Injury cases, which won large awards; Julian McPhillips, civil rights attorney in Montgomery, AL; William Sterbinsky, attorney in Sarasota, FL for military families and individuals; Brian Gottlieb, or RTR Law Firm in Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and the late Gene Moore, in Kissimmee, Cloud, FL as well as James Williamson in NYC, NY -and putting a pedophile in prison for 35 years in Iowa for sexually abusing his own children.
In August 2017, I also gave two presentations at FJA – one on a panel of expert witnesses discussing: "What Expert Witnesses Want From Attorneys," and in another solo presentation, I made an individual speech with my PowerPoint presentation entitled, "How Attorneys Can Empower their Expert Witnesses."
I have given two PowerPoint presentations to MHCCF and CMAMFT.
I've appeared on Oprah, 60 Minutes, Today Show, Good Morning America, Donahue (twice), O'Reilly twice, and on the local and/or national news on CBS, ABC, NBC, Fox, CW, PBS, NPR, and CNN. Locally, in Orlando, I have been on WOFL — the Fox affiliate 50 times; WKMG — the CBS affiliate 20 times, WESH — NBC affiliate 22 times, WFTV, — the ABC affiliate 18 times, and News 13 — 11 times and on WESH — the NBC affiliate — several times daily as their hurricane stress expert, as well as the Disney Channel five times and ESPN radio four times.
I was selected from 200 applicants in a national search to host "Ask the Family Therapist," on America's Health Network (AHN), which was associated with Mayo Clinic, and I was vetted by both the Mayo Clinic and AHN. It aired from Universal Studios Orlando. It was a 24/7 cable network, with 7 doctor shows, each show had two doctors, and each show was 2 hours long every day. The network ran for one year.
I was the weekly psychotherapist on CW's nationally syndicated morning show, "The Daily Buzz," for nine (9) months, writing the Q & A for the hosts and myself.
My book on business and communication skills, Surviving the Toxic Workplace: Protect Yourself Against the Co-Workers, Bosses, and Work Environments That Poison Your Day, was published by McGraw Hill and is listed as #6 on a list of 8 "Best Books to Humanize the Workplace" in an Amazon listing.
