I hold a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) from Kentucky and a JD from the University of Baltimore School of Law. I am an inactive member of the Maryland Bar. I have over 35 years experience teaching marketing, consumer, and survey research courses. I have 30 years experience as a marketing expert, including 16+ years as the in-house marketing expert as Director of the Office of Impact Evaluation in the Bureau of Consumer Protection at the FTC.
I've been qualified as a marketing, consumer behavior, and survey research expert in Federal and State Courts across the country, representing plaintiff and defendant clients in marketing, advertising, and trademark matters including consumer confusion and/or genericness matters.
I have testified at a trial, hearing, or deposition over 50 times.
I have conducted over 600 consumer surveys for clients and/or the FTC and have published a number of peer-reviewed journal articles related to research guidelines in litigation matters
