Areas of Expertise: Forensic Economics
I have 35 years of experience as an economic consultant and expert witness in litigation, performing analyses of market patterns of behavior, lost income and profits (due to wrongful behavior and personal injury), cross-border transfer pricing issues for various multinational companies, and the abuse of market power in antitrust cases. I have worked with private clients, trade associations and attorneys in numerous industries, including the auto industry (in many diverse aspects), transportation, construction, apparel, power tools, forestry and paper, environmental loss, fisheries management issues, etc. I have also worked extensively with independent auto collision repair firms and related trade associations on issues involving the steering of jobs and labor rate suppression by auto insurance companies, and the losses associated with such behavior incurred both by individual shops and at statewide levels.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics (magna cum laude) from Harvard College and a Ph.D. in economics from Stanford University. I am also a very quick study in terms of addressing the issues in new cases. One of the things that I like most about litigation work is that every case is interestingly different, demanding close attention to factual details, legal contexts, and the behavior of various agents involved, with respect to causal determinants and the resulting economic consequences and effects.
Please feel free to give me a call if you are interested in retaining me and my firm for consultation or expert witness work in private matters or litigation. There will be no charge for our initial consultation, and I'm very happy to offer my economic advice and share my expertise very freely in any such introductory conversation, regardless of retention. I sincerely want to help, and enjoy being asked to do so.
My general orientation, both personally and professionally, is to serve the interests of my clients to the best of my ability in whatever ways are appropriate and beneficial. I can be reached on my cell phone at 617-605-3150, or by email at econologistics@yahoo.com.
