QUALIFICATIONS  

As an appraiser of high-technology medical and scientific equipment, I have had a career of more than 40 years in the medical equipment business with such organizations as Marquette Electronics, Inc., General Electric Medical Systems, Nuclear Chicago, Searle Radiographics, Inc. (now Siemens Gammasonics) and my own business. My education includes studies in Electrical Engineering at the University of Wisconsin, Marketing Management at California State University and several technical and business related courses. 

I am presently a member of the National Panel of Commercial Arbitrators of the American Arbitration Association. I am also an Accredited Senior Appraiser of the American Society of Appraisers, having taken advantage of the educational courses and examinations offered by ASA in order to supplement my appraisal skills and gain their certification.  I have completed a five-year term as a Regional Governor of ASA and am past ASA Illinois State Director and past President of the ASA Chicago Chapter governing board.  I have authored articles published in medical equipment trade magazines regarding the buying and selling of second-market medical equipment and appraisals of medical equipment.  I have also addressed groups, including the ASA International Conference (2010 and 2012) and the Equipment Leasing and Financing Association Conference (2010 and 2014) and the International Conference on the Valuation of Plant Machinery and Equipment regarding appraisals of healthcare equipment.  I currently serve on the ASA Healthcare Special Interest Group, charged with designing and teaching courses leading to a certificate in the appraisal of healthcare organizations.
