Areas of Expertise: Epidemiology & Public Health
I am a PhD epidemiologist with training and experience in biostatistics, environmental and occupational health, and, military, injury, psychiatric, and infectious disease epidemiology. I have over 40 years experience in epidemiologic research, and 20 years experience in consulting.
Current consulting projects for private clients include assessing the public health risks from communities of homeless individuals, and, assessing the risk of lung cancer from low level asbestos exposure.
I have published over 70 articles in the medical literature, including first authorship in the Journal of the American Medical Association, the New England Journal of Medicine, Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise, and the American Journal of Epidemiology. I frequently review manuscripts for a number of journals.
My team includes MDs with backgrounds in preventive medicine, occupational medicine, and psychiatry, a PhD biostatistician, an RN with clinical research experience, and several research associates with master's degrees in epidemiology.
Since 2002 we have covered a number of topics, including birth defects, asbestosis, silicosis, infectious disease, and public health hazards of homeless encampments.
We review all aspects of your case, and review the published medical literature to identify strengths and weakeness both in your case and opposing counsel's. We provide comprehensive reports to assist your decision to settle or take the case to trial.
I have been deposed and have prepared reports for the court, but most of the cases I have addressed have settled before court.
