Caustic Studio builds forensic animations, photorealistic 3D reconstructions, and interactive courtroom exhibits for personal injury, product liability, premises liability, and medical device cases. We work with plaintiff and defense counsel.

Services

  • Line of sight and visibility reconstructions, including nighttime visibility and sun glare
  • Interactive 3D exhibits built in Unreal Engine 5 that attorneys, experts, and mediators can explore from any viewpoint
  • 3D animated reconstructions of falls, product failures, and incident sequences, including motion capture
  • 2D motion graphics that explain medical, mechanical, and technical processes
  • Site and object capture with LiDAR, photogrammetry, and blue laser scanning

How we work

We do not offer opinions on visibility, human factors, or liability. Our exhibits illustrate the opinions of your retained experts and are built to the foundation California courts apply to demonstrative animations (People v. Duenas). Measurements come from scan data, and each exhibit is documented so your expert can lay its foundation.

Selected work

  • School supervision case: two rooms rebuilt from a LiDAR and photogrammetry scan as an interactive line of sight exhibit. The mediator cited it as a key factor in settlement.
  • Product liability: 3D reconstruction of a fall caused by a defective rollator walker.
  • Medical device case: 2D animation showing how a contaminated heater-cooler device carried bacteria to an open surgical site, developed with a microbiology expert.
