Inventor of the Retained Asset Account and former head of the Investment & Fiduciary Services Department of MetLife. Served as Vice-President for Corporate Planning & Development and Assistant General Counsel of MetLife, and an officer of MetLife's Auto & Homeowners insurance company and MetLife's P&C reinsurance company and as member of various MetLife subsidiary boards of directors.
Member of the Insurance Programs Oversight Committee of California Change Lawyers, which is the successor manager of the insurance plans previously operated by the State Bar of California Group Insurance Programs Committee. Former Chair of the Insurance Committee of the American Bar Association's Section of Administrative Law and Regulatory Practice. Former Chair, State Bar of California Group Insurance Programs Committee and former Chair of its Life Insurance Sub-committee. Former Chair, Administrative Law Committee of the New York City Bar Association.
Began career at the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission and headed Special Enforcement Unit at its New York Regional Office. Served on Active Duty as First Lieutenant, US Army Reserves as admin officer at Army Security Agency Training Center.
