Hannah McFarland
Areas of Expertise: Handwriting
I work on many cases regarding determining who did or did not write or hand print a given signature, note, check, threatening notes, or other handwriting. I provide written reports in the form of declarations.
When conducting a handwriting comparison I utilize a four-page inventory of handwriting and document characteristics. This ensures that my analysis is complete as there are many characteristics of handwriting and documents that all need to be examined. My methodology ensures a reliable, objective and reviewable foundation as to how my opinion was reached.
I currently serve on the Executive Board of Directors of the National Association of Document Examiners.
Testified as an expert witness over 90 times in U.S. Federal Courts, Washington State Superior Courts, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, King County District Court, Alaska State Superior Courts, Idaho District Court and Oregon State Circuit Court as well as arbitrations, depositions, administrative hearings and other legal proceedings.
I have never been prevented from testifying because of a problem with my credentials.
