His background as a Fortune 50 company security director provides a strategic view of operations, security planning, and liability.

Pat has provided Litigation Support Services for both defense firms and plaintiff firms. His continuing education in the area of security case law and his unique approach to investigating cases makes him a valuable Security Expert Witness to any litigation team. His hands on approach and advice during the discovery phase of the case can often be pivotal in determining the ultimate outcome.

As a Security Expert Witness, Pat is highly skilled with premises liability cases where the theory of inadequate security has been asserted. He has been retained in cases involving parking lots, shopping centers, retail loss prevention, nightclubs and bars, as well as taxi companies. His cases have involved sexual assault, robbery, aggravated assault and homicide.

He has developed and managed security programs since 1979. His expertise relates to the processes and personal execution of security management plans.

Pat has extensive knowledge of a wide range of physical security methodologies, including security lighting, CCTV, access control systems and central station alarms. He has conducted over 1000 security assessments in his career in venues such as office buildings, warehouses, schools, and retailers. He has extensive experience in the development and implementation of enterprise level security programs, training and awareness. He is familiar with security guard operations nationwide, including contracts and post orders. He understands hiring and screening practices, training, and supervision requirements. He has also developed a unique security planning and risk mitigation program: Project CARE: Community Awareness, Response, Education to educate apartment property managers on crime prevention and security planning.
