I have spent the bulk of my career doing contract document review - finding the anomalies that will lead to change orders.  I have personally reviewed thousands of sets of plans between 1979 and 2006, and I have found that the anomalies, contradictions and oversight does not improve with time, it continues on and on.  I have taught classes in plan review, and continue to do so.
