ICC Mediation in Singapore for a $77 Million Natural Gas pipeline SCADA system dispute between two state owned systems in Central Asia. Testified at the hearing and prepared three extensive reports. System involved 2000 km fiber optic telecom system, microwave telephone system, 1200 km new power lines, over 150 new cathodic protection systems, about 200 sophisticated remote terminal units (RTU) five regional divisions with SCADA terminal access, and two master control facilities. The system includes multiple compressor stations and many distribution stations.
IP matter involving alleged breach of non-disclosure by engineer(s) who left one employer and the next employer introduced products similar to those of the first employer. Two reports and testimony.
$2.25 Billion case: SCADA expert and expert witness for the California Public Utilities Commission regards forensic investigation and analysis of the natural gas pipeline explosion in San Bruno, CA, on September 9, 2010. This was part of a larger investigation that resulted in total $2.25 Billion penalty recommendation against the utility, Pacific Gas Electric (PGE). Prepared multiple reports and participated in questioning during examinations under oath.
A compressed natural gas fueling station explosion and fire and roles of the SCADA computer and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) as cause was at issue.
Failure of PLC control system as cause of sewer system backup and flooding of about 100 homes and one industrial facility.
