I have reviewed cases for plaintiff and defense bars for 30+ years. My hourly rate is considered quite reasonable, at $500 per hour. I require no retainer, only a 4 hr refundable deposit to start reviewing your case. If I recommend the case lacks sufficient cause to proceed, I will offer to speak to your client and you via telephone conference call in order to help explain the medicine and my recommendations for up to an hour for no additional charge.

My training is singularly unique. I am a practicing ob/gyn for 28 years, subspecialty trained in reproductive endocrinology/infertility. I am also a clinical epidemiologist (i.e. an expert in clinical research design and interpretation) with a Master's degree in Biostatistics. I also have a J.D., although a non-practicing attorney. This combination of training gives me the unique ability to be regarded as particularly expert at issues of medical, scientific and legal causation.

I offer rapid review of cases, in my specialty of ob/gyn, but also in others as an epidemiologist/medicolegal reviewer — like commercial nurse reviewers, but with the additional training listed above. Supporting this activity, I've completed a program as a Legal Nurse Consultant, then taught at that program for a couple of years.  I've reviewed cases in family medicine, internal medicine, surgical specialties, et al. as a reviewer.  

I'm happy to discuss a case with an attorney prior to their deciding to use my services. I offer rapid turn-around, and will work through the night on matters with imminent deadlines.
