Janice A. Ramsay

Janice Ramsay serves as an expert witness as to the customs and practices of the insurance industry in property insurance bad faith cases.  She also serves as an appraiser in the property insurance policy appraisal process.  She has practiced insurance law for more than 40 years. She has given claims handling and coverage advice in hundreds of matters and handled lawsuits and appeals.  During her career she has helped write policy language and testified as to advice of counsel defense in bad faith cases. She is familiar with claims handling procedures and coverage issues as it relates to both personal lines and commercial property insurance polices and the various kinds of coverages they provide. She has worked with claims arising from all kinds of losses and can consult and testify on the issues raised multiple causation cases.
