Ken Zafren, MD, FAAEM, FACEP

Ken Zafren, MD, FAAEM, FACEP is a board certified Emergency Physician in active practice in Alaska and at Stanford University Medical Center, Palo Alto, California, where he is a Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine. He has spoken nationally and internationally. His areas of expertise include Emergency Medicine Emergency Medical Services and Environmental Medicine, especially High Altitude and Cold Injury (hypothermia, frostbite and nonfreezing cold injury)

Dr. Zafren has been named one of the Heroes of Emergency Medicine by the American College of Emergency Physicians. He currently serves as Alaska State EMS Medical Director. Dr. Zafren reviews cases for both defense and plaintiffs. He provides deposition and trial testimony. He is available for consultation, chart review and testimony as an expert witness in cases involving Emergency Medicine and Environmental Medicine
