I've served as an expert witness in matters involving software and IS management practices. These engagements centered, for the most part, on software-related intellectual property (e.g., copyright, patent, trade secrets), software development and project management, and software engineering (e.g., quality and productivity). I have assisted many organizations (e.g., American Heart Association, Celanese, CIA, Coca-Cola, Executive Office of the President of the USA, IBM, Kraft Heinz, State of Oklahoma, State of Texas, United Nations, US Department of Veterans Affairs, Wells Fargo, Verizon) with their software and IS-related activities, lectured in North America, Europe, and Asia on these and other management and technology topics, and testified before the U.S. Congress on technology-related legislation and IS management practices. I have a Master's and PhD in Computer Information Systems. I am a Professor Emeritus and served as Professor of Information Systems (IS) in the G. Brint Ryan College of Business at the University of North Texas (UNT) from 1990 thru 2021. I am also Director Emeritus of the Information Systems Research Center at UNT and served as Chair of the Information Technology and Decision Sciences Department from 2017 thru 2021.
