Dr Louis Flancbaum has expertise in general and gastrointestinal surgery, bariatric surgery, trauma surgery, and surgical critical care with over 25 years of clinical experience. A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American College of Critical Care Medicine, the American College of Chest Physicians, and over 25 professional societies, he has served as Chairman of the Department of Surgery at North Shore University Hospital at Glen Cove and held faculty appointments at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Ohio State University and Columbia University. He has published 2 books and over 120 peer-reviewed papers. Dr. Flancbaum is available for review and expert testimony in medical malpractice cases, insurance reviews and appeals, and other medical-related issues.
