Dr. Mark L. Goldstein is a licensed clinical psychologist in Illinois since 1976. He engages in private practice with offices in Northbrook, Hinsdale and Buffalo Grove, IL. Dr. Goldstein was previously a faculty member at the U of Illinois College of Medicine, the Illinois School of Professional Psychology, the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Roosevelt University and the U of Florida. He is the author or editor of several books, including Chronic Disorders in Children and Adolescents, Handbook of Child Custody and Handbook of Forensic Sociology and Psychology. He has presented numerous papers related to child custody and child abuse at national and international conferences. Dr. Goldstein received his Ph.D. from the U of Florida, completed his internship at South Metro Children's Center in Atlanta and subsequently worked at the Cook County Juvenile Court. He also served as consultant to the Dept. of Psychiatry at Cook County Jail. His practice is divided between forensic evaluations and consultation (child custody, child abuse, child sexual abuse and juvenile evaluations) and clinical work (individual and family therapy, parent consultations, psychological evaluations of children, adolescents and adults). He also consults with attorneys on jury selection, psychological evaluations and other matters). Finally, he conducts other forensic evaluations, including fitness for duty, fitness for adoption, social security and sexual offenders
