Mark Montrose has over forty five years expertise in applied electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) design and implementation/deployment regardless of environment of use; commercial, industrial, medical, semiconductor manufacturing and transportation. He has extensive experience in various legal matters associated with design engineering, failure analysis, patent disputes, biological hazards as well as matters related to testing and certification of electrical systems to international EMC standards with 100% success for clients.
Mark authored five popular engineering text books on printed circuit board and system design to achieve EMC. All books, with international translations, are written at a fundamental level to help engineers become successful in system design engineering without the need for high-level mathematical analysis or simulation. He has also authored/published technical papers plus two Journal articles for the IEEE EMC Society.
Mark Montrose was a member of the Board of Directors for 18 years of the IEEE EMC Society. He also sat on the Board of Directors of the IEEE and was founder and first president of the IEEE Product Safety Society. Mark teaches for the University of California Santa Cruz Extension program plus being an ISO 17025 EMC laboratory for industrial products.
