Dr. Morse graduated Summa Cum Laude from Duke University and was selected to the Medical Honor Society as a Junior in Medical School at Duke where he graduated in the top 1% of his class. Completing General Surgery at Washington University in St. Louis and The University of Rochester in New York, he then completed Research Fellowships in Pediatric Liver Transplant Surgery and Regenerative Medicine at both Boston Children's Hospital at Harvard and the busiest children's hospital in the U.S. in Cincinnati. A Board Certified Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon trained at the University of Florida with additional fellowship training in Orthopedic Hand & Upper Extremity Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh, he is also a Retired Navy CAPTAIN with a 23 year career caring for Sailors and Marines injured during Desert Shield/Storm, Operations Iraqi Freedom and Afghanistan.
Dr. Morse treats minor injuries, performs major cancer reconstruction and cares for both pediatric and adult and geriatric plastic and reconstructive surgery patients as well as performing cosmetic surgery where he specializes in head and neck and body contouring.
Dr. Morse has also performed both basic science and clinical research and lectured internationally, nationally, regionally and locally as well as been on numerous international, national, regional and local medical and surgical society committees including the American College of Surgeons, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Association of Plastic Surgeons, Southeastern Society of Plastic Surgery, American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Association of Hand Surgery, The American Association for Physician Leadership, The Surgical Infection Society, The American Medical Association, The Virginia Society of Plastic Surgeons, and The National Capital Society of Plastic Surgeons among others.
Dr. Morse received numerous academic awards in high school, college and medical school as well as (4) Navy Commendation Medals and the Meritorious Service Award presented by the President of the United States. He was a NASA Flight Surgeon, a founding surgeon in the Fairfax County Laser Tattoo Removal Program helping troubled teens in gangs, and he also is a Freemason, member of the Shriner's and holds a 32nd degree in the Scottish Rite as well as the Knights of St. Andrews.
In his spare time, Dr. Morse and his wife enjoy travel, their canine pack, boating, scuba diving, surfing, tennis, golf and pinball.
