Nachman Brautbar, M.D.

Dr. Nachman Brautbar is a board-certified internist and nephrologist, with a specialization in toxicology. His list of past and present academic appointments include: Associate Professor of Pharmacology and Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Southern California, School of Medicine. He specializes in the toxicological and internal medicine aspects of injury in the workplace and environment, product liability, personal injury, standard of care. Dr. Brautbar has published over 200 scientific papers and book chapters. He has been the lead expert in toxic exposure cases, such as benzene exposure, diesel exposure, manganese toxicity (welders), pharmacokinetics of alcohol, marijuana and drugs of abuse (cocaine, amphetamines, methamphetamines, etc.), herbal/dietary/nutritional/food supplement toxicology, DUI and DWI, alcohol intoxication (retrograde extrapolation), drug intoxication, mold exposure, hip implant toxicity, pesticides/herbicides/insecticides exposure, groundwater contamination, California Proposition 65 (Prop 65) and exposures involving MTBE, gasoline, diesel exhaust, lead, chromium, cadmium, nickel, beryllium, mercury, arsenic, heavy metals, polychlorinated biphenyls, diacetyl, trichloroethylene, perchloroethylene/tetrachloroethylene, formaldehyde, asbestos, silica, EMF and radiation.
