Patrice Morin-Resch is a medical coding and reimbursement subject matter expert supporting individuals, organizations, groups, and other business entities throughout the United States. She has more than 30 years in her field. She is a former editor of the American Medical Association's (AMA) Current Procedural Terminology (CPT®) book and a published author of more than 50 books on coding. The D.O.J., D.O.D., attorneys, insurance companies, clinics, medical associations, and organizations have utilized her legal and coding expertise.
Whether testifying for medical fraud and abuse cases, providing testimony on usual, customary, and reasonable fees, assisting in the recouping of physician monies, or providing medical coding seminars, audits, or in-house consultations, her focus remains solely on “medical coding and reimbursement.” Ms. Morin-Resch has dedicated her career to assisting individuals and organizations in the legal, medical, academic, and governmental industries.
Since 1986, she has held over 50 copyrights on books related solely to medical coding and billing and is recognized in the industry as an expert. As a lecturer, Ms. Morin-Resch has educated, mentored, and trained more than 35,000 individuals worldwide through seminars, audits, and classrooms. Her commitment to excellence leads her to continue developing additional products and services. In 2011, her CP "Teach" textbook was awarded the prestigious McGuffey Award through the Text and Academic Authors Association. In 2013, cp"Teach" received the coveted Texty award from the Text and Academic Authors Association. Created in 1989, this “how-to” medical insurance coding book line has been used by more than 900 schools and universities and is the first of its kind and the oldest annual series in the US. "Body Works," a book she co-authored with John Brady, M.D., Ph.D received the prestigious Ben Franklin Award in Science from the Independent Book Publishers Association. In 2013, Ms. Morin Resch was inducted into the TAA Council of Fellows.
