Graduate professional mechanical engineer and guns and ballistics expert, Roy Ruel consults nationwide as well as internationally on both civil and criminal gun related issues cases. He has been employed as an expert consultant and witness on cases involving many types of guns including pistols, revolvers, rifles, and shotguns as well as Airsoft, CO2, BB/pellet, and paintball guns.

He has provided litigation support on over 90 civil and criminal cases for both plaintiffs and defendants. Clients have included: public defenders, individuals, government, the military, insurance companies and the legal profession.

He has also investigated and prepared shooting-range off-range hazard assessments in several states including Idaho, Oregon, Washington (5), Florida, North Carolina, Wisconsin (2), Colorado (2), Texas, Iowa and Massachusetts.
