Commercial lending expert

Expert experience includes serving both plaintiff and defense clients in banking and insurance industries in the following: bank/attorney relationships, lender liability, commercial loan structuring, lead-bank syndicated lending responsibilities, loan terms of non traditional lenders, SBA loan underwriting and servicing standards, partial funding of construction projects, and incomplete disclosure of credit information. I am a professional member of the Forensic Expert Witness Association.

Financial services experience includes 25+ years in four mid-sized regional and community banks, serving in senior and executive management roles including Chief Credit Officer and Chief Lending Officer, plus 15+ years in financial institution managing consultant roles that include major organizations: EDS (now Hewlett-Packard), Deloitte, and Computer Sciences Corporation. Activities included five years serving as a special agent for the Commissioner of the Texas Department of Banking overseeing activities in troubled banks, typically under consent orders resulting from poor lending and credit practices. I have been on the faculty of the Risk Management Association for more than 35 years, leading up to ten seminars on several different lending and credit topics, and speak nationally to industry trade groups and regulatory audiences.
